Why Pilgrimage?

Pilgrimage is a journey to a sacred place, usually partially or all on foot, with a specific intention. It is not a vacation or travel for pleasure, though there is usually quite a bit of pleasure found in pilgrimage.  There is also a lot of deep spiritual work.

One makes this journey for a variety of reasons — for healing, for clarification on a decision, during times of transition, after the death of a close loved one, on another's behalf (perhaps a child or someone in your care), for fertility, because one simply feels a nudge.  Whatever the reason, big or small, the soul is calling you to a new place.

Whatever your reason for making a pilgrimage, you'll never be the same.

Where?

Peru

  • In March 2019 we'll be returning to the Sacred Valley of Peru where we will stay for a week and visit various temples each day. Two Incan Paqos, healers, who are very dear to me join us on these journeys and together we lead meditations and ceremonies invoking Pachamama (Mother Earth) and the Apus (Mountain Spirits).

  • In October 2018 we took a more adventurous route through the Sacred Valley - staying with families in the mountain community of Pachabamba, trekking through the mountains for three days in route to Machu Picchu, and ending in Cusco with the flight of the Condors. Our healers will join us for the trek and in Cusco.
