Lark Song: A Comfort Choir

Following in the tradition of hospice choirs, our choir seeks to broaden its reach to those in places of transition.  Our singing is done acapella and is shaped by paperless song leading.  This means we tune to one another rather than to notes on a page.  So if you love to sing and are looking for a place to bring your gift that will lift spirits not in performance but in community this might be the choir for you.

We are a volunteer group that is led by three former hospice choir members – Keely Morgan, Terri Zierden, and Vonda Humburg.  We practice twice a month and sing to those in transition twice a month on Mondays.  Currently we meet at Episcopal Homes to do both, and in the future we hope to sing to those in prison and in homeless shelters as well.  Episcopal Homes is a senior living center with over 600 residents ranging from Independent living to Long-Term Care.

This is a volunteer choir, however, it is a unique choir.  We suggest you try us out for a month and then we can decide together if this is a good fit.  If you decide to join Lark Song you will need to go through Episcopal Homes volunteer coordinator for a simple background check.
